MORE than 250 people from businesses, clubs and organisations in Crediton and district are this week and next week taking part in the Rotary Club of Crediton Industrial Bowls tournament, hosted by Crediton Bowling Club.

A total of 67 teams are taking part in the competitions which involve teams of four players.

Each game is played over 18 ends and only one experienced bowler is permitted in each team.

The semi-finals and final will be over 21 ends.

The competition has been run on an annual basis for more than 40 years.

Last year it was The Lamb Inn team which won the tournament.

This year’s semi-finals and final will take place on Saturday, August 19.
