CREDITON badminton player Dee Weiner (25), has returned from a recent competition with two medals, a gold and a silver.
Adding to her tally of medals already obtained in badminton competitions, Dee won her latest at the Welsh Disability Badminton Four Nations competition in Cardiff.
Dee achieved a silver in the singles and a gold in the ladies doubles with her doubles partner Nikki Welch, from Cornwall, in the Learning Disability category.
The recent success follows a gold in the singles and silver in the doubles with her partner then, Hazel Johnson, from Wigan, at the Scottish Disability Four Nations competition in Glasgow in the learning disability category from February 15 to 17.
Dee has had outstanding success in badminton, winning two silvers at the Dwarf Sports Association National Badminton and Boccia competition held at Wolverhampton on October 6 and 7 last year.
Dee won silver in the singles against Rebecca Bedford, a player in the England para Badminton squad in SS6 category.
She also received silver in the doubles with her then doubles partner, Lauren Wright.
In 2017 Dee won gold in the women’s singles in Division Two in the learning disability category and silver in the women’s doubles with her then doubles partner Nikki Welch from Cornwall.
She also achieved silver in the mixed doubles with her mixed doubles partner Murrie Robertson from Glasgow.
Dee said she was “thrilled” with her latest success. She added: "It was a pretty full on day with lots of matches but I had a great time."
She is a member of Crediton’s Queen’s Badminton Club and is the club’s special needs representative.
