LAST weekend (September 17 and 18) saw the start of the new season for Crediton Youth FC.
The Under 12’s got off to a great start to life in Division Two with an 8-0 win over Sidmouth Town Vikings at Lords Meadow.
Double strikes were from Ethan Moore, Hayden Richardson-Miller and Luis Mathews with further goals from Jimmy Orchard and Oliver Stone seeing them start in style.
It was a home friendly for the U11’s against North Tawton. Creddy edged out their local rivals 4-2 with goals from Archie Crosbie, Daniel Southall, Isaac Heal and Oliver Brimilcombe.
Away from home it was a tough start for the U16’s to Division One, as they went down 5-0 to Stoke Hill.
The U14’s ran out 7-1 winners at Central Hawks. It was one apiece at half-time, but the Crediton lads obviously got their act together after the break. On target for them were Rhys Ebdy with three, Zach Mildon with two, and singles from Dan Burgess and Ollie Baker.
It was friendlies for the U10’s away against Alphington and Central. Three defeats and one win for them against tough opposition.
The U12 girls started their season with a 5-2 victory away at Paignton Villa. Their goals came from Lexi Mullen with four and Eva.
It was always going to be a tough start for the U14 girls at home against Torquay United Community Sports Yellows. They eventually went down 3-1 with Ruby Turner getting the Crediton goal.
