Dan Metcalf was the author, the books were two more about the adventures of Lottie Lipton who lives in the British Museum with her Great Uncle Bert. They both have a lot of mysteries to solve.
Dan’s visit was arranged through Crediton Community Bookshop. He introduced his books and talked about his work as an author. The books were for sale, Dan signing each one.
Each child also received a £1 voucher to be used at Crediton Community Bookshop.
Dan has been visiting a number of Devon schools, thanks to the Community Bookshop, starting the day of his Yeoford visit at Burrington then Copplestone with visits to Hayward’s School in Crediton, Tiverton and Bow to come among others.
The Bookshop works in partnership with local schools, libraries and arts organisations to bring authors to Crediton for talks and book signing.
Its aims include promoting reading and literacy in all age groups and providing book events in schools.
It also strives to develop the best resource of Devon writing, including local authors, literature, history, geography, travel maps and more.
