BELIEVED to be the first primary school in this area to join a Coding Club, not about sign language but learning computer coding languages such as HTML, CSS and more is Yeoford Primary.
The Club, run by Ryan Arthurs is for Years 3-6 children and is held after school.
"It is for children interested in computers, making games and websites. The children have loved it," said Ryan.
For seven years he taught sport but had always been interested in computers and playing games, so it was a natural progression to make more of his hobby. Which is how South West Coding was born.
Ryan, who lives in Okehampton, is now working with the Princes Trust, hoping to get funds to buy laptops, at present the children use the school equipment.
