A FOR Sale sign has gone up outside the former Gospel Chapel at Yeoford with an asking price in excess of £150,000.

The freehold building is being marketed by Crediton estate agents, Helmores, who point out that it has planning permission to be turned into a two bedroomed single dwelling.

It has gardens overlooking fields as well as parking opposite with room for a garage, subject to planning approval.

It was built in 1901, used until 2016, with Mid Devon District Council giving planning approval last September.

Headstones outside in what will become the garden area are to be professionally moved to the extended graveyard next door.

Mid Devon District Council’s planning reference for further details on the approval is 22/00799/FULL.  The application was from Dr John Shelley of Shobrooke Park.
