A GRIEF and Hope Walk and Vigil is planned by Growers, a group within Extinction Rebellion, Crediton on Friday, November 15.
It will begin by meeting at 10am at Crediton Methodist Church, ready for the song practice, led by Alison Whittall and to hear an introduction to events.
Afterwards the group will move off silently from the church at 11am, along the pavement, to the Town Square.
Gathering on the steps in the Town Square, the group will then perform the song and then move into the centre of the space with leaves to represent some of the species that are now extinct.
This will be followed by a 15-minute silent vigil.
“Everyone is welcome,” said Laura Conyngham “preferably wearing black and also, if possible, having learned the song “We’re standing here” by Owly Dave and Helen Yeomans.
Details can be found at: http://www.helenyeomans.co.uk/xr .
She added: “We hope that many people in the Crediton area, and beyond, will join us for what we hope will be a Friday for the Future.”
