A WOMAN in her 70s, a pedestrian, sustained serious head and leg injuries in a road traffic collision involving a car within the grounds of Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

The collision occurred at about 10.35am on Friday, October 17, the collision involving a black Toyota Yaris and a female pedestrian.

After the collision the woman was taken to hospital.

Her next of kin were made aware.

A road closure was put in place whilst specialist roads policing officers conducted an investigation, and officers thanked members of the public for their patience during the disruption.

The police have asked that anyone with any relevant information or dash camera footage which may assist the investigation is asked to make contact via the force website or by calling 101, quoting log 215 of 17/10/2025.
