THE Friends of Morchard Bishop School (FOMBS) is to take the plains of the savanna to glorious Mid Devon during the school half term.

A safari trail will be held around the village from tomorrow, Saturday, October 24 to Sunday, November 1.

Local residents and businesses have made various animal displays for children to spot when they join in with the safari trail around the village, which is being organised to keep them entertained during the half term break.

FOMBS hope that the safari trail will not only generate some funds for the school but also provide a fun and active outdoor activity for the children to enjoy.

Children and families from the surrounding area are warmly encouraged to join in.

To do this, buy a ticket from Church Street Stores (Morchard Bishop). When you buy your ticket you will receive a map and quiz sheet to record your findings.

Tickets will be on sale from Saturday, October 24, and cost £1 from Church Street Stores in Morchard Bishop. Shop opening hours are Tuesday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, Saturday to Monday, 8.30am to 2pm.
