AT the recent meeting of Sandford Parish Council it was agreed to formally Adopt the Call Box in Mill Lane which falls within the Sandford Conservation Area.

A Contract with BT was signed by the Parish Council chairman Elizabeth Dalton to purchase the Box for £1.

BT have offered to supply red paint so that the box can be restored to its former glory and they have also agreed to replace the missing window panels.

At the next meeting of the council on Thursday, March 2, it will discuss the future use of the box.

Suggestions so far have included a book library and an information point for Parish Walks.
