CREDITON area walkers, which included children and dogs, took part in the Jane Iffla Memorial Walk on the Raddon Hills on Bank Holiday Monday (May 27) and raised a mighty sum of £909.09p.
The walk which began at Stockleigh Pomeroy Village Hall saw 92 walkers, including friends of Jane, enjoy the panoramic views.
Jane started these fundraising walks more than 10 years ago, she was a member of Stockleigh Pomeroy Church and also played a role in the Exeter Diocese.
Sadly she died of cancer not long after retiring from her post as an Exeter headteacher, but the walks have continued.
Tea and cakes were available for the walkers to enjoy when they returned to the village hall.
The money raised will be divided equally between Hospiscare and Stockleigh Pomeroy Church.
