CREDITON Town Council’s Open Space Committee has been working hard during the last few years creating a Wildlife Area in Peoples’ Park.

After transforming what was an unloved area into a wildlife haven, the Town Council is now looking for volunteers to help maintain the area.

Town Mayor, Councillor Frank Letch, said: “We will be running tidy up and planting days throughout the year and encourage the community to come along and get involved.

“Whether you are a keen gardener, or just enjoy getting your hands dirty, your help would be invaluable. No experience necessary.”

Upcoming dates will be publicised on the Town Council “Facebook” and “Twitter” pages as well as the Town Council website at: www.crediton.gov.uk .

The next planting and tidy up day that has been arranged is Saturday, October 14, from 10am, and all are invited to turn up on the day and help, where possible.
