We asked you what you thought about our coverage of the Christmas celebrations in Crediton and the surrounding area.

Some of the Christmas events we covered included the Christmas Light switch-on, late night shopping, the Christmas Tree Festivals in Crediton and Sandford, school plays, Christmas fayres, “Text Santa” events, our features to promote local businesses.

What you told us ……….

I found the coverage quite good. I do buy the Courier every week. It’s a good local newspaper. Mrs Hookway, Bow

The Christmas coverage in the Courier was very nice. I live at Down St Mary which was beautifully covered with lots of nice pictures.

The coverage was very good – lovely. Last week was very good. I thought the lights in the High Street and Town Square look better than they have ever looked. Sheila Parsons, Crediton

I’ve not looked at a recent copy but I think the Courier is “dead on the button,” A journalist once told me that a paper needs lots of names, places, familiar faces and local people who might be recognised, for it to be successful – and that’s exactly what the Courier does. Shaun Newman Crediton with grandson Elliot (10mths)

I think there needs to be new blood to see things differently, perhaps a fashion article or a secret eater, although the Courier does support the town well. Steve Brannon, Ashton’s Coffee Lounge

It’s been fine – yes it’s been alright. It is always interesting to read about what’s happening in the villages. Crediton Resident

The Courier is fantastic, really informative. Local knowledge is really important and it helps me to know what’s happening in the town especially with the council reports and the hospital. I liked the article about Father Christmas at Morchard Bishop. It’s a very good newspaper. Hazel Hodge, Crediton

Please let me know how you think the Courier has fared over the past year?
