IF you are interested in becoming a councillor to represent residents in Crediton, now is your opportunity.

A vacancy in Crediton Lawrence ward on Crediton Town Council, following the resignation of Bill Dixon, means there will be a by-election in that ward on Thursday, December 1.

Prospective candidates can obtain all the necessary information about the election process, guidance notes and a nomination pack from the election office on the contact below.

The candidate nomination period for this by-election, during which all forms must be received by the Election Office, Mid Devon District Council, Phoenix House, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton EX16 6PP, runs from Monday, October 17 to 4pm on Friday, November 4.

Although nomination forms may be sent in the post, it is strongly recommended that candidates take their forms to the Tiverton office in person (10am – 4pm on weekdays) so that election office staff can check them for completeness.
