MILK vending, 24/7, has been available in Crediton for just a few weeks, and those behind the new venture are thrilled with its success to-date.
The machine not only dispenses fresh pasteurised and non-homogenised milk, but also branded milk bottles.
Reasonably priced, the purchases are all made by card payment, which means there is no money kept at the facility.
David Munday told the “Courier”: “We are really pleased to launch fresh, local, whole milk from our vending machine.
“The pasteurised, non-homogenised milk comes from our 250 free range dairy cows at Town Barton Farm, Sandford.
“The milk is available 24-hours-a-day, every day of the week.
“One litre reusable glass bottles can be purchased on site to fill from the milk dispenser and once you have the bottles, bring them back clean to refill as and when you need.”
Mr Munday added: “People just keep coming back and refilling their bottles. They like the ethos and the taste of the milk.”
He added that it was a family concern including his wife Debbie, son Jack and Danielle and their 10-months-old twins, Axel and Rory, supported by their herds person Sam and assistant herds person and calf rearer Hannah.
He continued: “All together we ensure that we can supply a top quality, fresh, honest product from our healthy herd of cows from the very start, right to your bowl of cereal, cup of tea or whatever you use your milk for!
“As a team we’d like to thank everyone for their custom and extremely positive messages, we wouldn’t have got here without you.”
He expressed particular thanks to Mole Avon for their support and also the maker of the bespoke milk and bottle dispensing machine.
Mole Avon is impressed with the new facility and the milk is now used in the Hayloft Cafe at the Crediton Mole Avon store.
