CREDITON Arts Centre moves back inside its East Street building this month after a busy and successful summer of outdoor shows.

The Autumn term begins with “Duck Variations” by Benchmark Theatre on Saturday, September 24 at 7.30pm.

Pulitzer Prize winning playwright David Mamet’s philosophical comedy is a delightfully combative hour of character-led debate described as witty, playful, surreal, and poignant.

A week later sees a rare visit to the area from the amazing Blackheart Orchestra, consisting of Rick Pilkington and Chrissy Mostyn. Comparisons are regularly drawn with Pink Floyd, Kate Bush and Portishead, and they have won many awards including several for Chrissy’s extraordinary voice and Rick’s brilliant and inventive guitar playing.

Much more used to playing large venues, including the Royal Albert Hall recently on a major tour supporting “Hawkwind”, The “Blackheart Orchestra” love playing small intimate venues, and few could fit the bill like the Arts Centre.

Tickets for both events are available from: www.ticketsource.co.uk/creditonartscentre .
