READING the letter from Arthur Burge in the last issue of the Courier, he is quite right. The traffic in Exeter Road has increased, not decreased.
It is quite amusing when people who can see the Link Road where they live say that the traffic using it isn’t much.
Regarding the air quality machine across from my house, I have been shown inside it - it is very interesting and fascinating.
The lorries are getting longer and larger and when two meet it’s interesting.
The black soot which comes from exhausts is disgusting, especially for children and others with nasty chest infections and asthma.
The council don’t fool us. With the tractors and trailers passing up and down Exeter Road when harvesting starts and not all the lorries passing our road go through the High Street.
On Sunday evening a very long lorry, carrying very large bales of straw nearly touching the electricity cables. Surely there should be less on these lorries - that’s dangerous.
People have said to me that it looks as though the air quality figures are doctored. In my opinion these councillors are not right.
Is Crediton a dying town? The sight of traffic wardens are putting people off coming into our town.
