A NEW business opening in Crediton High Street at 10am on Boxing Day is Crediton Independent Bed Company.

Husband and wife team, Neil and Sue Allport have been together for 33 years and married for 27.

They have a combined experience in the retail trade of more than 65 years, having both worked in retail since leaving school in the mid 80s.

Sue explained: “We met in Debenhams in Exeter after both working there on a YTS scheme.

“Neil went on to work within the soft furnishings, furniture and bed trade while I stayed for 22 years and moved to the Tesco superstore here in Crediton when it opened in 2009.”

Neil added: “As an independent company we pride ourselves on being impartial, unbiased and always aiming to deliver a professional service to our customers.

“As a new business we will always put ourselves in our customer’s shoes to give them the ultimate customer service experience.”

He continued: “We offer a wide range of mattresses, bed frames, divan sets and bedroom furniture with a fast reliable delivery service.

“Our ethos is not to inflate prices so we can offer our customers top quality products at affordable prices.”
