THERE was a full house for the February meal at Cheriton Fitzpaine Welcome Club, cooked by Julie Chapple and team.
Following the meal PCSO Lisa Crocker came to talk to members about telephone and email scams. She warned them never to give out their bank card security number unless they had initiated an order to a reputable firm.
Lisa explained that banks and building societies never contact clients by telephone, only by letter.
If the caller gives you a number to call back to make the scam sound more authentic, you may put the phone down, but they do not.
There was a lengthy question and answer session before Lisa was thanked by Brenda Fowler, entertainments organiser.
