TEDBURN St Mary Football Club hosted its first two-day youth football tournament at its Barley Park ground and it could not have gone better.

The weather was fine on both days, Saturday and Sunday, June 28 and 29, with 82 teams taking part on the first day and a similar number on the second day.

Hundreds of youngsters played and it was well organised with many volunteer helpers, referees, administrators, people serving food and drinks and co-ordinators.

There was a raffle for an England shirt donated by Ollie Watkins, which was on display.

Congratulations went to all the winners, coaches, supporters and everyone who took part or helped in any way.

The club hopes to make it an annual event.

Winners were: Broadclyst Lions U7’s, Crediton Puma’s U8’s, Broadclyst U9’s, Torrington FC U10’s, Brixington Blues U11’s, Heavitree Hawks U12’s, Alphington U13’s.
