TEDBURN Amateur Dramatic Society (TADS) staged"Comedy Tonight" over two nights in October in Tedburn St Mary Village Hall.

The show consisted of three parts - two plays plus sketches and songs - with a dinner.

The first presentation was "Streuth", an example of coarse acting - where everything goes wrong!

Written by Michael Green and directed by Debbie Smith.

Next was "Landing on Your Feet", written and directed by Charles Pallot and Debbie Garrish.

It told the story of what happens at a Parish Council meeting!

The third part consisted of "Variety Sketches", an assortment of comedy and songs, directed by Dave Brewer.

There was a dinner and dessert, a licensed bar and raffle.

Debbie Smith, secretary, TADS, said the evenings were a great success with many people attending.

She said: “The show was a great success and raised almost £2,000.

“We will be giving a large percentage of the show profits to our three chosen charities - FORCE Cancer Care, Devon Freewheelers and the Anaphylaxis Campaign.

“Many thanks to all those who came and supported the show and helped raise such a good amount of money.
