THE May meeting of Tedburn St Mary WI took the form of the AGM, the branch’s Annual General Meeting.

This was a busy evening, with the group welcoming the Devon Federation of Women’s Institute Advisor Maureen Hunter who led us through the two National Federation of Women’s Institutes (NFWI) resolutions: Accessible public toilet facilities to promote dignity, health and social inclusion and Action on Women’s Homelessness.

The voting process was explained and carried out; the resolutions being adopted unanimously.

Our delegate from Tedburn St Mary WI (Jane Burrow) will vote on our behalf at the NFWI Annual Meeting.

The President, Treasurer and Secretary gave their annual reports, and competition cups were presented.

Maureen Hunter declared the names of the Tedburn St Mary WI committee members for 2026-2027 and Hilary Pook was elected as President for 2026-2027.

Tedburn St Mary WI then enjoyed celebrating a busy and successful 12 months of membership with a social evening, including cheese and wine.

Our regular meetings are held in Tedburn St Mary Village Hall on the first Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm.

We love to meet prospective new members, and you will be warmly welcomed if you would like to attend.

There are lots of activities on offer at Tedburn St Mary WI every month, including good speakers, walks, and knitting and craft sessions. Remember that the first meeting attended is free, to enable you to decide whether to join our WI.
