FOR the second year running Tedburn St Mary Primary School has topped all the others in Devon by achieving 100 per cent in the National School League tables.

Only one other school in Devon equalled Tedburn. Last year it was the only school in the county to get full marks and it is among the top 101 in the country to get the full 100 per cent, putting it fifth overall nationally.

That means its pupils taking SATs achieved 100 per cent across the board in Maths, Reading and Writing.

Headteacher Mr Andrew Keay was very proud that all his Key Stage Two pupils got top marks in the three subjects last term. They have all now gone up to their next stage of schooling at senior schools.

Saying this had been "an absolutely phenomenal achievement once again”, Mr Keay added: "This is a reflection of how well our children work throughout the school and the hard work and dedication of all members of our staff."

He continued: “At Tedburn St Mary we are committed to providing every pupil with the best possible educational experience within a safe, nurturing environment.

"Developing, encouraging and motivating children is at the heart of all we do to ensure our pupils become confident and successful lifelong learners."

Tedburn St Mary Community Primary School is part of the Link Academy which includes Cheriton Bishop and Yeoford primaries. It is also part of a family of schools belonging to Crediton Learning Community.
