THERE is no stopping Tedburn St Mary Judo Club as their new recruits follow the more experienced, keeping up the winning streak.
Four of the club's primaries came away from a recent competition at Bridgwater with medals after entering their very first competition.
Jake Allman took gold after disposing of his opponent with a fine throw in his first fight.
His younger brother Sam, one of the youngest members at the club, came away with a bronze medal.
Freya and Angus Watts both entered for their first time.
Freya took silver in her weight category, showing a keenness that will be hard to beat in the future.
Her brother Angus fought valiantly, despite being injured, coming away with a bronze medal.
Taylor Mansfield also fought well and took a bronze medal.
In the junior group, John Gray showed his skill once again, receiving the silver trophy.
Aidan Bostock took gold in his weight category, and the silver, moving up a category, and beating all his opponents in that category.
Senior, Sensei Richard Cater, lost just one fight and came away with a bronze trophy.
Richard has been away from the sport for a while, concentrating on his football. He has recently returned to Judo, showing he has not lost his touch.
Taylor, Aidan and Michael all train at Okehampton and Tedburn St Mary Judo Clubs.
