ANYONE driving through Sandford this summer cannot fail to be impressed by the large array of scarecrows situated in and around the village.

They are there for this year’s Sandford Playgroup Scarecrow Trail, an extremely popular summer activity for all the family.

The trail, which has an Olympic theme, offers the follower beautiful walks in and around Sandford, while hunting high and low for the famous scarecrows.

For an official trail map and entry form, which gives locations of where to find the scarecrows, call in at Sandford Community Stores before setting off.

Entrance for the trail is £3 and it can be completed in any order, starting at the Community Stores and don’t forget to vote for your favourite scarecrow.

The trail, which runs until September 11, is suitable for walkers, pushchairs, and bicycles and is approximately two miles long, winding through the village on footpaths, country lanes and along part of the Millennium Green and Path.

Money raised goes to Sandford Playgroup funds.

All correct entries will be entered into a draw for cash prizes.
