POLICE have been notified that on a farm in Thorverton on Saturday or Sunday, January 18 or 19, that a man dressed in a hi-visability jacket was found walking in fields.
When approached the male said he was looking for the electricity meter.
The owner of the farm later telephoned the electricity board and was told that the company did not have a record of any of its staff attending.
Also, during the evening of January 20, in the Columbjohn area, a fencer battery was detached from the electric fence and all the cattle escaped onto the road.
Tiverton PCSO Anna Roberts advised: “For those in the rural areas, please be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to police.”
