ARE you interested in a reading group with a difference?

Crediton Library has a monthly Stories and Verse group, which is a friendly, shared, reading group where people enjoy listening to short stories and verse.

All reading material is provided on the day by Lucy who facilitates the group.

The group is open to anyone who would like to go along and listen to stories and verse and people can take part in the reading if they want to.

There is no monthly prescribed book that everyone must read before the session, therefore the session can be enjoyed by people with dementia. If anyone has difficulty with their eyesight, the Library staff can enlarge the print with advance notice.

Lucy says: "Stories and Verse is very friendly, we love seeing new faces and we always have a laugh.

"The group is open to absolutely anyone, and you can share the reading and join the conversation, or just enjoy being read to.”

The next monthly session will take place at Crediton Library from 2pm to 3pm on Monday, March 7.

Please telephone 01363 772578 or drop into the library to book a place at the meeting. The session is free but there is a suggested donation of £1 for refreshments.
