THERE is still time to visit this year’s Scarecrow Trail at Sandford, which sees more than 20 fun and colourful characters erected in various locations within the village and the Millennium Green.

Running until Sunday, September 5, the theme is “Toys take over the Circus”.

Those who take part can keep a look out for many interesting scarecrows, along with “letters” which when put together make up an anagram.

Trail maps and guides are available from Sandford Community Stores for £4 (payment by card is preferable).

The Stores is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm, closed 1pm-2pm, and open from 8.30am to 12.30pm on Saturdays and from 10am to 12 noon on Sundays.

There is also a chance to vote for your favourite scarecrow.

All fully completed forms during the trail will be entered into a prize draw, and the scarecrow with the most votes will also win a prize.

Funds raised this year will go to Sandford School.

The Sandford Scarecrow Trail is always a great summer holiday activity and it is always good to see how residents have put their creative talents to good use.
