YOUR regular and even occasional readers will, by now, have enough knowledge of the facts and statistics to understand why we need our long-promised designed and approved by-pass.

Approved, by the way, in 1989 by everyone and even accepted at Downes House as the best route, now called the Valley Route.

But, and a very big but, next Tuesday, September 22, our Town Council meets and some of our town councillors seem more concerned to tell us, their electors, what the county want to do to us rather than to tell the county what we, the tax payers, want from the county.

Well, next Tuesday at 6.45pm we at Crediton Traffic Action Group, plan to tell the Town Council to go back to 1989 and give us a route that will clean up our air in Exeter Road and the High Street.

We need to show the County Council officers and any County Councillors the same placards and make the same protests on Friday, September 25 at 11am at the Old Town Hall at the bottom of Searle Street.

Your readers know the facts, now is the chance to make sure our councils know our feelings and thoughts. Turn up on September 22 and 25 and make a difference.
