THE second of this year’s St Boniface Concert Society series will see the Laefer Quartet perform at Crediton Parish Church on Thursday, May 19.

Amy Green (soprano saxophone), Rusne Mikiskaite (alto saxophone), Philip Attard (tenor saxophone) and Stephen Shepherd (baritone saxophone) make up this exhilarating, award-winning saxophone quartet, which was formed in 2012 at the Royal College of Music.

In 2014 they received the Boconnoc Music Award which included a series of concerts at the Boconnoc Estate in Cornwall.

The Laefer Quartet are experienced in a variety of genres and have performed across the UK at numerous venues. They have been delighted to give the UK premieres of works by contemporary composers such as Ivan Fedele, Ed Scolding and Alexander Glyde-Bates.

Buckingham) String Quartet in F Minor, Ferenc Farkas Old Hungarian Dances, Sean McWilliam Leabhar Gahbala, Giacomo Puccini Crisantemi Thierry Escaich Tango Virtuoso and Hugo Alfvén Vallflickans Dans.
