THE North Creedy Choral Society will give a concert with a full orchestra and soloists in Crediton Parish Church at 7.30pm on Saturday, April 21.

The Society will be performing Beethoven’s "Mass in C" and this will be followed by a “Last night of the Proms” finale, just two days before St George’s Day.

The "Mass in C" is every bit as tuneful and dramatic as Beethoven’s more famous “Missa Solemnis.”

The second half of the programme will include excerpts from Edward German’s “Merrie England”, Purcell’s “Fairest Isle” and “Home Sweet Home”.

The audience will be encouraged to take part in the exhilarating acceleration of the “Sailor’s Hornpipe”.

Auidience members are invited to take along flags to wave during “Rule Britannia”!

The soloists will include Katie Leaver (soprano), Stella Stephens (mezzo-soprano), Jason Bomford (tenor), Julian Sutton and Paul Evans (basses). The concert will be conducted by Richard Stephens.

Concert proceeds will be in aid of Crediton Parish Church Campaign Roof Appeal.
