More local success. Congratulations to Wendy Sincock who won a medal in the transplant tennis competition held in Cheshire.
Wendy lives at Spreyton and is team manager for the Exeter transplant unit. Over the past 10 years since her kidney transplant she has won more than 60 medals. During that period of time she won Gold in the swimming 100m back stroke at the Thailand games and was selected to take part in the World Transplant Games in Australia.
Another local person in the news is Dennis Thorpe (71) who took part in the Great West Run in Exeter to raise money for the Exeter kidney unit at the RD and E Hospital, Wonford.
Yet again, there was another award for the Tom Cobley Tavern. They won the CAMRA area award. This is in addition to the other awards won by Roger and Carol over the past three years.
