DESPITE recent bad weather, Lapford Horticultural Society members still managed to put on a good display of exhibits at their Spring Show.
The Joan Henderson Memorial Cup went to Joyce Mann, for most points in the show, having gained 25. Runner-up, with 17 points, was Sue Briant-Evans and in third place with 15 points was Trisha Mumford.
Other results were: Photographs - Pat West and Richard Hassett; Homecrafts - apricot jam Sue Briant-Evans, Trisha Mumford and Edna Copus; four hot cross buns - Sue Briant-Evans and Trisha Mumford; Queen pudding - Edna Copus, Rowan Peto and Sue Briant-Evans. Men only who made shortbread to own recipe - 1 James Mumford, 2 Bill Parsons.

The judges were Bert Jewell (fruit, veg, flowers and photographs), Margaret Jewell (floral art and crafts) and Angela Searle (homecraft).
Refreshments were organised by Mr and Mrs Ridd.
