CHERITON Fitzpaine Garden Club’s June social evening was held at Stockleigh English, where Tony and Sue Harris kindly opened their beautiful gardens for us.

As usual, the shared food was a feast, especially the puddings, when most people’s diets went out of the window!

All the table arrangements had been made by one of our younger members, 16-years-old Charlotte French, using flowers and foliage from the garden.

Last minute plans were made for the Open Gardens Event, which is being held on Sunday, June 25 from 1pm to 5pm. Registration is at the Parish Hall, with parking there and at the School.

The entry price of £5 for adults and £2.50 for 12’s and under, includes a cream tea.

Our outing this year will be on Thursday, July 20, when we shall share cars to go to the High Garden at Kenton (EX6 8NJ).

Members are encouraged to bring guests, and may wish to call in at the restaurant at Powderham Castle for lunch first.

Anyone not already on the list should please email Mr or Mrs Codner at: [email protected] if you would like to come.
