THE British Red Cross in Devon will be holding a Skydive weekend from September 21 to 22, at airfields across the UK.

They are looking for adrenaline daredevils to skydive from an aircraft flying at 15,000 feet, with only the outline of the landscape below, freefalling at over 120mph.

Those taking part will be fully trained and supported by professional parachute instructors and attached to an experienced skydiver by a safely harness.

The registration fee for this challenge is £70 and the target sponsorship is £325.

The Red Cross will be there to support and inspire with lots of fundraising tips and tricks.

The venue for Devon will be Dunkeswell Airport near Honiton, on Saturday, September 21.

People can register and see a full list of locations on the British Red Cross website or contact Kate Bailey, community fundraiser for Devon on 01392 353274 or email [email protected]">[email protected]

The money raised could help provide vital support for a family affected by fire, or train people in life-saving first aid skills, provide transport for a vulnerable person after a stay in hospital and someone to stay with them while they settle back into their home.
