CHILDREN at Cheriton Fitzpaine Primary School recently took part in “Jump Rope for Heart”, a sponsored skipping event in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

All the children at the school, as well as most of the staff, took part in the skipping challenge, which was held in the school hall due to the inclement weather.

Head of Teaching and Learning at the school, Mrs Glynis Harris, said the event was a “great success”.

She thanked all the children and staff who took part.

She explained: “So far we have collected a whopping £440 and there are still pledges to be collected.

“As we have raised more than £100 we get to keep all the skipping ropes and 20 per cent of proceeds over £100.”
