TOMORROW, Sunday, September 22 is the closing date for the consultation over the proposed cut to Crediton’s fire service in the Devon and Somerset Fire Authority’s plans.

Signatures opposing the cut to Crediton and Devon and Somerset’s fire service were collected on Saturday morning at a stall on Crediton High Street, organised by Crediton Labour Party, helped by several firefighters from the town’s fire station.

Crediton could lose one of its two fire engines if the changes are approved.

There is still time for people to make their views felt by signing the petition at: https://www.megaphone.org.uk/petitions/don-t-cut-fire-services-in-devon-and-somerset .
