THE congregation at St Swithun's Church, Shobrooke, are greatly relieved (and will be) that the church has been given a grant of £6,868 from the National Lottery Awards for All, towards a project to install a "green" loo.
The project involves the installation of the "green" loo in the small Sexton's House in the churchyard, just inside the lynch-gate.
Last year's harvest festival weekend raised money towards the project which, it is estimated, will cost in the region of £10,000.
