ILLUSTRATOR Ron Tiner will be explaining his research into illustrating Sherlock Holmes when he comes to Crediton to a meeting at the Boniface Centre of the Devonshire Association’s Literature and Art Section.

This will be on Saturday, October 22 at 2.30pm.  The admission charge is £2 for members, £3 for non members.

Ron Tiner is an experienced illustrator, with a keen interest in the history of book illustration.

For several years he has been preparing a unique, meticulously researched book exploring Sherlock Holmes’ origins and methods and discuss how Holmes has been interpreted in the past, his own perspective on Conan Doyle, his immortal characters and their times.

He will also be looking at the environment in which Conan Doyle set his stories.
