A SMALL delegation from Sandford Parish Council met recently with Simon Gamlin (Divisional Director of Summerfield Homes) to tour the building site at Creedy View (the development off Fanny's Lane, Sandford) to discuss issues raised by parishioners. These issues included The Cob Barn now in the process of being partially demolished; Oxford Terrace – where the developers are aware of the concerns and are speaking to the house owner concerned and Brady Close issues of fl ooding which have now been resolved. Also raised was the fact that the gradient of the road and the car park has been amended so car head lamps would not cause an issue. Plans to re-build the Park House Boundary Wall were also discussed. Simon Gamlin said he would report back to Sandford Parish Council on the issue of the coach lay-by (now changed by the new entrance to the Parish Hall not happening) and the surface area for the parish hall car park. Those attending agreed that it had been a very useful meeting. Simon Gamlin is very keen that Summerfield Homes, as developers, have a good working relationship with the neighbours and the parish. He stressed that anyone with issues should contact him on his offi ce number 01823 257961 or email: sgamlin@summerfi eld.co.uk . A further site meeting between the Parish Council and developers will take place as the development progresses. It is understood that the new homes, which will include seven affordable homes for occupation by those with a "local connection", will be ready in the New Year. MJV
