FIRE crews from across Devon are this evening (Wednesday,October 4) fighting a fire in the thatched roof of a property at Cholhouse, Bondleigh, near North Tawton.

While there are few details at this stage, crews from across the area, including, North Tawton, Crediton, Exeter, Chulmleigh, North Devon and water tankers are attending the scene.

It is expected that fire crews will be at the scene all night.

The first crews started arriving at the scene just after 6.30pm.
