THE senses of smell and taste of members and guests of Crediton Garden Club were awakened during the September meeting!

We were entertained by Chris and Jenny Seagon from Whiddon Down, their range of plants were top quality. They take their plants to shows around the country and are well worth seeking out if you want to extend your range of herbs and edibles.

The next club meeting will be held on October 23 at 7.30pm at Crediton Library, Belle Parade - £2.50 for visitors. Refreshments will be available.

We have invited Ben Candlin from “Adventurous Plants” to go along and share the secrets of growing Aroids (Cuckoo pint, Lords and Ladies).

His website shows that he grows a wide range of plants from Arisaema through to Zantedeschia.

Ben has recently been featured in a “Daily Telegraph” article about exhibiting at the Tregrehan Rare Plant fair.

If you have always wanted to grow something different now is your chance!

Our last meeting of 2018 will be on November 27. David Hogan has asked us to bring samples of our own garden soil and it will be intriguing to find out what mine contains.

Please come and join us.
