ABOUT 120 people visited Tedburn St Mary Village Hall on a Saturday morning for a slap-up breakfast, while raising funds for Tedburn and Cheriton Bishop Scout Group.
Scouts were the waiters and waitresses, their parents were in the kitchen, a team led by Donna Barratt who organised the annual Big Breakfast this year and last.
On the menu was bacon, egg, sausages, beans, hash browns, and tomato with toast and tea or coffee. The morning tied in with the Scouts Community Challenge.
Tedburn and Cheriton Bishop Cubs meet on Thursday evenings, Scouts meet on Monday evenings, both at Tedburn St Mary.
The Group has Crofters Mead, a facility of two and a half acres, but no Scout Hut there. To build one on that land is their long-term ambition.
Scout Leaders are Jane Dunlop and Roger Wickham who is also Group Scout Leader. Although there is a good team of helpers, more adult leaders would be welcomed. Anyone who would like to know more should contact Roger on 01647 252705.
