ALONG with the rest of the nation, Sandford will be remembering those who fell in World War One and World War Two at its Remembrance Service at St Swithun’s Church on Sunday, November 11.

The service will begin at 9.45am with a special remembrance of the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One.

During the service the focus will be on three Sandford individuals whose stories have been researched by Graham Hope.

Children from Sandford School will weave this into their Act of Remembrance in the service and the Sandford youth organisations will be present.

There will be a display of war memorabilia at the back of the church in the Under Gallery together with maps with the exact locations marked where the men from Sandford fell.

After the Act of Remembrance refreshments will be served in Sandford Congregational Church Hall.
