‘WHAT can I do to help?’ How many of us have felt that in recent weeks?

A group of Sandford residents have been so moved by the shocking events in Ukraine that they have decided to take action to raise some money for the Disasters Emergency Fund (DEC) relief effort.

The Lamb Inn has offered its Dowrich Room for a fundraising event on Saturday, April 23.  There will be live music from 7.30pm.

Local businesses have been very generous in giving donations so there will be a raffle of prizes and an Auction during the evening.

Items in the Auction will include: a £50 Pets at Home voucher; £20 voucher for Bellunos Italian Restaurant; £20 voucher for Pinkies Nail Bar in Crediton; free manicure at Nails@Number 4; £10 takeaway voucher for Saffron; Meal for Two at Yummy Tummy Thai in Crediton and much more yet to be donated.

A large Ukrainian Bear - escaping from the Russian Bear - will need someone to guess his name.

Entry tickets will be £5.  Please come along, have some fun, and contribute to the Ukrainian Support Fund. If you would like to join in the Auction it might be helpful to bring along cash - a rare commodity these days.
