SANDFORD Craft Fair will take place at Sandford Parish Hall from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, November 20.

The event is well established, attracts hundreds of buyers and has become a popular community fundraising event.

Last year, 2020, was the first year, in 35 years, that the craft fair couldn’t take place.

On Saturday there will be 35 stalls selling fabulous local art, crafts, gifts and treats - great for Christmas shopping.

There will be morning coffee, lunches and afternoon treats. The Art, Craft and Gift raffle will be made up of prizes from the stall holders.

The event organiser, Bindy Saywood, explained: “Although we are scaling down the craft activities on the stage area, we are pleased to still be able to offer pottery decorating with Paint Pots of Devon.

“Also, in light of the pandemic, we have reduced the menu and will be serving our food and drinks in recyclable cups and plates.

“This will help reduce the number of volunteers needed, and create more space around the café area.

“The layout of the hall has been adapted in order to create more space within the often, very busy, hall. All stall holders will be asked to provide hand sanitiser on their stalls and the hall will be well ventilated.

“Friends of Sandford School (FOSS) will be running the Craft Fair Café which raises funds for creative projects in school.

“This year the Craft and Gift Raffle will be raising funds for several good causes including Hospiscare’s new ‘Hospice at Home’ being set up in the Crediton area in 2022, and also to services which support Young Carers in Devon.”

She added: “We hope that we will see you on Saturday. There will be a warm welcome for all.”
