DESPITE the power cut (candles had to be used part of the time), the weather and clashing with the Rugby final, Margaret Phillips’ Charity Coffee Morning at Sandford Congregational Church went ahead on Saturday, November 2.

There was a good turnout with lots to buy and two draws.

Congratulations went to Parish Council chairman Jim Stephens, who won the first draw prize in the draw, a Quicke’s Cheese voucher.

During the morning £366 was raised and this will be split between the two charities Breast Cancer Care and FORCE.

Margaret would like to thank everyone who supported the event and local traders for supplying draw prizes.
