A CHERITON Bishop woman began a charity cycle ride yesterday, Wednesday, May 4, from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

Rosalyn Brook is raising funds for the Cornwall-based charity, Shelterbox, which works hard providing aid in the most troubled spots in the world, and now especially in Ukraine.

Rosalyn is an accomplished cyclist and hopes to complete her venture in about 10 to 14 days.

Her JustGiving page is as follows: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Rosalyn-Brook .

To-date, Rosalyn has been sponsored by many friends and family, raising more than £2,000.

Rosalyn’s father Chris, was keen to point out that Rosalyn will be cycling on her bicycle (not electric).

While he is driving a safety vehicle, Chris will not be alone for some of the venture.

LOOK OUT FOR UNCLE VIC!

In addition to Ros cycling, Chris’s brother, Victor, from Doddiscombleigh, will be driving a vintage Fordson Major tractor along the same route!

Chris explained that Victor is fundraising for the Devon Air Ambulance.

He added that it has an average speed of just 15 mph!
