THE charity, Farms for City Children will be hosting a play at its farm, Nethercott House, near Winkleigh, on Saturday, June 23.

HandleBards theatre company will be performing Shakespeare’s "Romeo and Juliet" from 6.30pm, when the all-female troupe will be arriving by bicycle with all the set, props and costumes.

In usual HandleBard’s style, those attending can expect riotous amounts of energy, a fair old whack of chaos and a great deal of laughter.

Nethercott House grounds will be open from 5pm to enable people to take along their own picnic, rugs and chairs.

The play starts at 6.30pm and will last approximately two hours with a 20-minute interval.

Tim Rose, Farm School Manager at Nethercott House said: “We are looking forward to hosting HandleBard’s first production at Nethercott in the garden in June.

"Do please bring your own picnic to have in the grounds. We will be providing a bar with drinks.”

Tickets are on sale now and are available for £15 for adults. One free under 16 ticket with every paying adult.
