Drivers in and around Mid Devon will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.
And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A30, from 8pm July 25 to 5am July 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Whiddon Down lane closure for vegetation works.
• A30, from 8pm July 27 to 5am July 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, between Whiddon Down and Woodleigh lane closure for vegetation works.
• A30, from 8pm July 29 to 5am July 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Woodleigh lane closure for vegetation works.
• M5, from 10pm July 29 to 6am July 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 27 to 28 mobile lane closure for surveys.
• A30, from 8pm August 1 to 5am August 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Whiddon Down to Cheriton Bishop - Lane closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting) works.
• M5, from 10pm August 8 to 5am August 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 entry slip road closed for electrical works. Diversion via southbound to junction 28, to turn and return northbound.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
